WOMEN'S EDUCATION - IN THE CONTEXT OF ISLAM AND THE WEST

Abstract

The importance and usefulness of women's education in the present age cannot be denied as women are half of the society, therefore their education and training is necessary and indispensable for the development and welfare of both the nation and the society. The word 'education' is a combination of two components. One is education, teaching, imparting information and the other is training, nurturing good manners, cultivating good morals and habits. Therefore, both education and training are of fundamental importance in Islam.
