Abstract

Ghani Kashmiri is one of the most prominent Persian poets of the subcontinent and a leading figure of the Sabk-e-Hindi (Indian Style) tradition in Persian poetry. Known for his profound imagery, intricate metaphors, and thematic innovation, Ghani developed a poetic style that not only influenced the Indo-Persian literary landscape but also resonated with Iranian aesthetes. This research article explores his poetic thought and style in a different way. The study examines Ghani’s mystical inclinations, philosophical reflections, and his use of literary devices etc. His aversion to flattery, preference for simplicity, and spiritual perspective are highlighted as central features of his poetic identity. The article also discusses how Ghani’s poetry embodies the broader features of Sabk-e-Hindi, particularly through his language, symbolism, and thematic diversity.

Keywords: Ghani Kashmiri, Sabk-e-Hindi, Persian poetry, mysticism, literary style, Indo-Persian literature.
