Psychological Diversity in the Short Stories of Arsh Siddiqui

Abstract

Arsh Siddiqui created four poetry and two fiction collections in his creative journey. His element of personality is very prominent in his creative, research and critical literature. He is a creative thinker. He had his own unique opinion about every aspect of life and literature. His literary work is a testament to the fact that he presented his own unique point of view in everything. He has beautifully highlighted his unique angles of thought in fiction. Although he has written very few fictions, he rejected seven of them and his first fiction genre is “Bahir Kafan Se Paon”. This collection includes nine short stories: "Mor Paon", "Bherain", "Takmeel ka Zakhm", "Farishta,Chotha Majosi", "Zill-e-Elahi", "Kuttay", "Ham Nasheeni ka Azaab" and “Bahir Kafan Se Paon”. Compiled by Dr. Tahir Tounsvi, he has included them in this collection under the titles "Ekjahan sab say alag", "Aarhy Tirchay Khutoot", "Sahra", "Sannata", "Shezadi", "Sona Aangan" and "Ooncha Rozgar", while Tahir Tounsvi has published seven rejected short stories under the title "Saat Mustazad Afsanay" by Arsh Siddiqui. Thus, he has created a total of sixteen short stories. These short stories by Arsh Siddiqui are a beautiful blend of tradition and innovation.This article narrates the psychological aspects of his short stories.
