Abstract

Why and how is Islamophobia promoted globally? Before moving forward, this question should be considered and how to address it. Answers to these questions can be found in the example of the comics published in the French weekly Charlie Hebdo. The publication of "blasphemous drawings" of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of God be upon him) played a major role in inciting Muslims to discredit them, and when they were published in 2006, there were protests against them all over the world. But the magazine repeated the same insolence in 2011 and continued until two brothers attacked its office on January 7, 2015, killing 12 people, including the magazine's editor-in-chief and five cartoonists. After that a front was opened to discredit Islam and Muslims, but it also had the effect of stopping this series temporarily but in 2019 this mischief started again.
